Thanksgiving(kah) 2013

If you're wondering about the "kah", it's because for the first time since 1888 (crazy long time ago), Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fell on the same day. And if you're wondering why I was celebrating Hanukkah, then surprise! I'm half Jewish.

So I give you our Thanksgivingkah, in pictures:

{Thank you pinterest. Turkey cheese ball recipe & inspiration}

So bummed that these basketball pics aren't coming out very well on the laptop! But definitely still showing them, because they're an important part of Thanksgivingkah. {And because how could I not share that captured shot of my epic basket? Yes, that last one went in. Cha-ching.}

Hope your holiday was filled with blessings, fun, and food. Ours sure was!

Happy Monday, loves! Make yours a good one.

  1. Love your Pictures!!!

    My pastor actually preached about that in our service yesterday! So fascinating. I had no idea you are half Jewish! Do you know any Hebrew? I've always wanted to learn. And isn't that pumpkin spice creamer amazing! I love it.. I'm finishing my last bottle now and than it's off to the peppermint mocha. Have you tried that one? It's pretty darn amazing. ;) Much love! xoxo Heather @http://likeamorningcupofcoffee.blogspot.com/

  2. So cute Amy! So many yummy pies in that picture.
    We (sort of) celebrated Thanksgivukkah too - my cousins' friends are Jewish and they came over for dinner. I could eat latkes all day...

  6. yay for holidays! the food was great, wasn't it? now to hit the gym again...

    and I love that fact that you were out there with the guys playing basketball. that is so me. I was banned from playing tackle-football when I was 12 cause I got the wind knocked out of me by a 16 year old. haha. we had to play two hand touch after that, cause there was no way I was sitting out. :)

    xoxo.
