Show Us Your Singles

While doing my usual check up of my favorite blogs, I noticed that the lovely Melissa had linked up with Kelly for Show Us Your Singles

A link up for singles? How could I resist?

And if I don't happen to meet the future Amy's husband from this link up, then at least I can take the opportunity to introduce myself to any newbies around here.

So here it goes:

My name is Amy, and I'm a 23 year old living in beautiful Santa Barbara

I love Jesus with all my heart, all my soul and all my strength.

Although I fail Him daily, He never fails to amaze me with His grace, mercy and love.

My main goal in life is to show others how much they are loved and valued by our Savior.

I have been blessed with some incredible friends

Monday through Friday, I am a financial analyst for an engineering company.

Friday through Sunday, I am out making as many memories as possible with the people that I love.

I will always be down to spend an entire Sunday watching football (while rooting for the Patriots), and will never say no to an outdoor adventure.

But at the core, I am definitely your typical girl.

If there is a baby or puppy in the near vicinity, I will naturally gravitate to it.

I am a daughter to two incredible parents who have taught me the importance of good work ethic and drive. And I am the big sister to the two best younger siblings that I could ask for.

As much as I would love to, I don't think I could ever leave California for the four reasons below.

And now let's keep it real and consider some things you should know before dating me.

~I love going to the movies. But be warned that I will fall asleep in 90% of the movies that we watch together. Couch, drive in, movie theater? It doesn't matter, I'll be dozing off at some point. You can bet money on it (people have before).~

~I hope you don't mind people singing along to songs. Because if I know the lyrics, I will be singing. And if I've heard the song even just a few times, I know the lyrics. Don't worry though, my singing voice isn't that awful.~

~I cry a lot. When I'm sad? Uh huh. When people are nice to me? Most definitely. In chick flicks? Oh tears will be flooding. My younger cousin's Bar Mitzvah? Yupp, there too. You'll get used to it.~

And, well, gotta leave some sense of mystery, right? We'll save the rest for you to figure out on your own. ;)

So whether you're my future husband reading this, or just a loyal reader, or heck, just someone who stumbled upon this blog,

Cheers to you!

  2. Haha! I definitely always cry. Happy or sad... I cry! And I definitely sing along to ALL songs! Sometimes even if I don't know the words, haha!

  3. Hah you are so funny. I can't NOT sing along to a song, even if I've only heard it once. Or sometimes, songs are so predictable that I can pick them up on the first listen. I'll be singing along and stop and say, "I like this song, I've never heard it before". And my husband looks at me like, WHAT? Weirdo.

  6. Aw, so cute! You are a catch, Amy! ;)

Also, I'm a notorious crier/movie sleeper as well! It's so hard to stay awake/not cry at everything! People sometimes make fun for how I cry at things, but I guess I just feel things a little too much sometimes :) I'm not complaining, I wouldn't have it any other way!

  8. Girl, you are beautiful and however you meet your future husband, he is one lucky guy. :)

p.s. I totally cry at everything, too. Especially shows like Parenthood (I don't know if you watch it, but it gets me every single episode).
