So About This Amy Girl...

I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what to blog about today. So I'm gonna do a little About Me post, since I haven't really done one yet. Not really sure how well this is gonna go, but I'm gonna go with it:

My name is Amy Lynn.

In the last week, I've seen two other bloggers with that exact name. Guess it's not a very original one? Good work Mom and Dad.

JK. I'm a fan, so I'm okay with sharing my name.

I'm a big sister.

I love these two so so much. And I am so proud of my little brother, who just committed to play soccer at the University of La Verne. What a stud.

I graduated from UCSB last year.

And that picture is super misleading. Because I was a UCSB cheerleader for all of like, 1 week. Until I decided to leave cheerleading as a high school thing.

I have the world's most amazing best friends. Those four right there would be my best friends from high school, and I'm so happy to say that they are still some of my best friends today.

And those three would be my best friends from college. The four of us will be reuniting in a few weeks, and I can't wait!

And those would be my amazing roommates. They make life after college so much better than I ever imagined it could be.

There are so many more incredible friends. And I am so so lucky to have all of them

I'm a Christian.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8: 38-39

My absolute favorite bible verse. Of all time.

And now for a few random facts, the best kind:

I'm really afraid of spiders. And bugs. And reptiles if I don't have a warning before I see them.

I like all food. Like really, all food. Except cucumbers. And bell peppers. But other than that, I like it all. Indian, Thai, Mexican, Italian, Sushi, and I'm gonna stop listing types of food now. You get the point.

I think two of my toes on my right foot are double jointed. I've been told that they're not, but I'm gonna stick with that story because no other part of my body is double jointed and it sounds cool.

I have a pretty awesome memory (that got me through college), and it works particularly well when memorizing the words to songs. Unfortunately for my friends and any other random car passengers, I will sing along to a song if I know the words. I basically can't control it. And chances are, I know the words. So if you were hoping to listen to/enjoy the music while I'm in the car, well you can kiss that thought good bye.

I can make the world's ugliest most awesome faces. Actually let's be real, I was right with the first word, they're just plain ugly. But my friends seem to get a kick out of them. Unfortunately for you guys, I refuse to let this face be photographed. Maybe one day I'll share this lovely talent with you.

And that's all for now folks. Hope you feel like you know me a little better now.

  3. LOVED THIS POST, AMY! So glad I learned all these things about you. Romans 8 is probably my favorite chapter in the New Testament. And I bet my faces could rival yours.... i'd have to see a picture of yours before I'm convinced they are uglier than mine ;)
